Creating your Cotonity account

A step-by-step guide to signing up for Cotonity, verifying your email, and completing your profile so you can start building AI agents right away.

Sign up for a Cotonity account

Visit app.cotonity.com and click the "Get started for free" button on the homepage. You can register using your work email address or by authenticating through Google or Microsoft SSO. If you use email, choose a strong password of at least twelve characters that includes uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols. After submitting the form, Cotonity sends a verification link to your inbox. Click that link within 24 hours to activate your account. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder and add noreply@cotonity.com to your safe-sender list before requesting a new link.

Complete your profile

Once your email is verified, you are taken to the onboarding wizard. Fill in your full name, job title, and the name of your organization. These details appear in audit logs and are visible to workspace members you later invite. You can also upload a profile photo; supported formats are JPEG and PNG up to 2 MB. At the bottom of the wizard you are asked to choose your primary use case — Customer Support, Marketing Automation, Internal Tooling, or Other. This selection pre-loads relevant workflow templates for you, but it does not restrict what you can build later.

Choose a plan

After completing your profile, Cotonity places you on a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan. During the trial you have access to all features including unlimited agent runs, advanced analytics, and priority support. On day 13 you receive an email reminder. If you take no action, your account automatically downgrades to the Free tier, which allows up to two active agents and 500 runs per month. You can upgrade or change your plan at any time from Settings → Billing without losing any existing agents or workflow configurations.

Security and two-factor authentication

Cotonity strongly recommends enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) immediately after signup. Navigate to Settings → Security and click "Enable 2FA". You can use any TOTP app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password. Scan the QR code displayed on screen, enter the six-digit code to confirm setup, and save your backup codes in a secure location. If you are an Organization Admin, you can also enforce 2FA for all workspace members from Settings → Organization → Security Policies, ensuring no one can access your agents without a second factor.
