A guided tour of the Cotonity dashboard — navigation panels, key metric cards, quick-action shortcuts, and how to customize the layout for your team.
The main navigation sidebar
The left sidebar is your primary navigation rail and is always visible unless you collapse it by pressing Ctrl+B (Cmd+B on macOS). From top to bottom it contains: the Cotonity logo linking back to the home dashboard, a search bar that lets you find agents, workflows, and logs by keyword, and sections for Agents, Workflows, Integrations, Analytics, and Settings. The workspace name and your avatar sit at the very bottom of the sidebar. Clicking your avatar opens a dropdown where you can switch between organizations you belong to, view your profile, or sign out. If you have multiple workspaces, a badge shows the active one.
The home dashboard cards
The central area of the home dashboard shows metric summary cards at the top: Total Agents, Runs Today, Errors (last 24 h), and Active Integrations. Below these cards is a Recent Activity feed that streams the last 50 agent events with timestamps. Each event is color-coded: green for successful runs, yellow for warnings, and red for failures. Clicking any event opens the full log entry in the Activity Logs panel. To the right of the feed sits a Usage Meter showing your monthly run count against your plan limit, refreshed in real time so you always know how close you are to hitting a threshold.
Quick-action buttons
At the top-right of the dashboard toolbar you will find three quick-action buttons. The "+" icon opens the New Agent wizard. The lightning bolt icon opens the Workflow Templates gallery. The bell icon opens the Notifications panel, which lists system alerts, comments from teammates, and scheduled maintenance notices. You can click the gear icon next to Notifications to choose which alert types appear in the panel versus which are sent to email. These quick-action buttons also appear as keyboard shortcuts listed under Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts so power users can create agents without reaching for the mouse.
Customizing your layout
The dashboard layout is customizable per user. Click the "Customize" pencil icon in the top-right corner of the home dashboard to enter edit mode. In edit mode you can drag and drop the metric cards, reorder the sidebar sections, and toggle widgets on or off. For example, if you do not use the Analytics section yet, you can hide it to reduce visual noise. Layout preferences are stored in your user profile and sync across devices, so the arrangement you set on your laptop is immediately reflected when you log in from another machine.
